The Workshop on Statistics and Applications aims to provide a forum for researchers to present and discuss recent advances in statistical methodology and its applications across a broad range of scientific disciplines. The workshop welcomes contributions from all areas of statistics and related fields, fostering interaction between theoretical developments, methodological innovations, and applied research.

While the scientific scope reflects research themes that have been central to the work of Professor Wenceslao González Manteiga, the workshop is open to contributions covering any topic in modern statistics and data science.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Nonparametric and semiparametric inference
  • Functional data analysis
  • Spatial and spatio-temporal statistics
  • Statistical learning and data science
  • High-dimensional data analysis
  • Computational statistics
  • Time series analysis
  • Survival analysis
  • Statistical modelling and inference
  • Applications of statistics in science, engineering, economics, and the social sciences

Researchers from academia, research institutes, and industry are warmly invited to participate in and contribute to the scientific programme.
